CFB analyst thinks a major shakeup is coming at Alabama

This would be insane.

It's no secret that the Alabama Crimson Tide have a lot of talent, but sometimes having a lot of depth can prove to be potentially problematic.

Sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts had a nice season in 2016-17 for the Crimson Tide, especially considering he was a true freshman, but Hurts was a four-star recruit that beat out several other talent quarterbacks for the highly coveted Alabama starting quarterback job.

Enter five-star freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who came to Tuscaloosa as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in his class according to 247sports, and one college football analyst thinks Tagovailoa is going to take the starting gig away from Hurts by the end of the 2017 season.

Here's what Michael Detillier said about the potential QB controversy in Tuscaloosa:

It's important to note that this is just coming from Detillier, and not any unnamed sources from Alabama.

Still, with a new offensive coordinator in Brian Daboll in place under head coach Nick Saban, it wouldn't be a huge stunner if Hurts fell out of favor with the coaching staff and a player like Tagovailoa gets a shot at some point in the year.

Hurts threw for 2,780 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2016 for the Crimson Tide.
