It’s official: We have ourselves a Florida-Alabama SEC Championship game

The SEC Championship game is officially set — No. 12 Florida will take on the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Dec. 6. Alabama clinched the SEC West division on Saturday with a 29-13 win over the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl. Florida, meanwhile, clinched the SEC East division with a 9-7 win over Vanderbilt on Nov. 7. In the 23 years of the SEC Title game, Florida and Alabama have met for eight times, the most of any matchup in the game’s history.

Saturday’s game will kickoff at 4:00 p.m. EST from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.
