Four-star safety Xavier McKinney makes his pick between two national title contenders

He couldn't have gone wrong either way.

Four-star safety Xavier McKinney has 13 offers from some high-major programs, but his decision ultimately came down to two of the best. He was believed to be deciding between Clemson and Alabama and it looks like we have our answer on where he'll play next year. He committed at the Under Armour All-American Game, landing at Alabama:

The 6'1", 192-pound safety out of Roswell, Ga. is the No. 8 recruit in the state of Georgia and No. 8 safety overall in the country and is considered the No. 70 recruit overall.

247sports' Crystal Ball listed Clemson as a 100 percent shot at landing McKinney.

One of the top recruits in the country had offers from Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Auburn and Arkansas among others.
