GAME TIME: 3:30 p.m. ET, 2:30 p.m. CT
WHERE: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
THE LINE: Alabama, -14.5; over/under, 50.5, according to Vegasinsider
WHAT’S AT STAKE: For Florida, a chance to prove to the nation that the program is back after a 4-8 record. There have been lots of doubters about the Gators offense, but QB Jeff Driskel has a chance to expose the Tide’s weak secondary. The Gators need to capitalize on any scoring opportunities they get. For Alabama, a loss in the SEC West is deadly. There are too many powerhouses in the West. The winner of the SEC West is almost guaranteed a spot in the College Football Playoff. A home loss would hurt Alabama’s playoff resume. This is the first test for the Tide this season and a chance to see where they measure up against good competition.
