LSU's new OC takes a shot at Alabama in opening presser

He's in for surprise next season.

LSU and coach Ed Orgeron brought in an offensive genius in Matt Canada to become the offensive coordinator. His Pittsburgh Panthers averaged over 40 points a game and that is something the Tigers could desperately use after only averaging about 28 points per game this season.

Canada was introduced to the media and Tiger Nation on Wednesday. He clearly does not quite understand how a rivalry works quite yet as he had this to say about his new rival Alabama:

"I'm 1-0 vs Alabama. We beat them at NIU."

He is referring to when he was coaching with Northern Illinois and his team went to Tuscaloosa in 2003 and beat the Crimson Tide. It should be noted that Saban was not the coach then and so that little stat might not mean much. Saban is going to show him what an Alabama team coached by him can really do to someone's offense.
