One of Alabama's top players just threw Lane Kiffin under the bus

This is pretty great.

New Florida Atlantic Owls head coach Lane Kiffin moved on from the Alabama Crimson Tide this offseason after several years working under Nick Saban.

Jonathan Allen, a potential top-10 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, saw the Kiffin and Saban dynamic up close and opened up about what he liked most about their relationship.

Via SaturdayDownSouth:

"Oh easily watching Saban crush Kiffin," Allen said. "At practice... it was our goal to see how many times we could get Coach Saban to MF Kiffin. I mean that was our goal."

Saban blowing up at Kiffin is nothing new, but it is certainly interesting and funny to learn Allen enjoyed watching Saban blow up on Kiffin after their defense did their jobs in practice.

Allen elaborated a bit more on the Saban-Kiffin dynamic saying:

"It was just during (drills)," Allen responded. "We would just try to blow it up and just destroy it and kill the offense and then you would know Kiffin's just...gonna get it, after you just blow it up in the backfield. That's probably the most fun we had at Alabama during practice this year, just watching Coach Saban lay into Kiffin."

Allen is very open and honest in explaining how he and the defense would wreck havoc on the Alabama offense in part to get Kiffin in hot water with Saban.

Allen is expected to be a top-10 pick in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.
