Report: One moment was the "deciding point" in Najee Harris' recruitment

The No. 1 recruit is heading to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama commit Najee Harris' saga is over, and the running back is reportedly fully onboard with the Crimson Tide.

A fantastic report over at SEC Country by Alabama beat reporter Chris Kirschner details the drama on the back-and-forth between Jim Harbaugh's recruitment of Harris and Nick Saban pushing back on the other end (which you should absolutely check out). But Kirschner details the one defining moment after a Harbaugh satellite camp at Harris' high school and a visit to Michigan had Alabama antsy.

"A key moment in Harris' recruitment was when Saban and Lupoi flew to Northern California for their in-home visit. There, Saban and Lupoi met Harris' mother at work, went to Malu's gym and had dinner at Harris' home. Though the Michigan visit went well, that in-home visit with Alabama was the deciding point in this recruitment, according to a source."

Harris would eventually fly to Alabama after the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, ending all speculation that he would flip to Michigan and landing with quarterback teammate Tua Tagovailoa.

With his recruitment pretty much wrapped up, we'll see if the No. 1 overall recruit pans out to be just as good as he's projected.
