Vaunted Alabama linebacker and pass rusher Tim Williams was held without a sack in Alabama's 38-10 win over Western Kentucky Saturday. Even without that sack, Williams clearly delivered the biggest hit to the Western Kentucky QB by way of a vicious body slam.
Williams was flagged for roughing the passer on the play, but when watching the replay it is clear that from Williams point of view it would very easy to believe the QB still had the ball. So for Williams he was simply finishing what he thought to be a legal play, not laying a dirty hit. A big, vicious, WWE style hit.
