Four-star JUCO defensive tackle Emmit Gooden narrows down transfer options to three teams

Where will he land on National Signing Day?

Four-star JUCO defensive tackle Emmit Gooden has narrowed down his transfer options to three teams — Arkansas, Tennessee and West Virginia.

Gooden shared an image of himself with the logos of his top-3 schools on Thursday via Twitter.

The Brownsville, Tennessee native committed to the Vols as a high school prospect before flipping to Mississippi State and eventually ending up at Independence Community College (Kansas) in 2016.

The four-star JUCO prospect committed to Arkansas last spring, but reopened his recruitment following the firing of former head coach Bret Bielema.

Gooden took an official visit to West Virginia this past weekend and was re-offered a scholarship by Tennessee's new coaching staff last month.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman ranks as the No. 7 defensive tackle and No. 17 overall prospect for the 2018 JUCO national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Gooden plans to announce his transfer destination during National Signing Day next Wednesday.
