Nation's No. 1 recruit Justin Fields taking a visit to one of the schools reportedly a "favorite" to land him

He looked up to a former QB at this school, too.

Justin Fields is on a bit of a whirlwind.

The nation's No. 1 dual threat quarterback, as per 247Sports, decommitted from Penn State in June, and since then, he's been the subject of tremendous speculation as to where he'll end up. USC could be a sleeper. He made a surprise visit to Alabama. Florida, Florida State and Georgia are in the mix, too, and so is this SEC school. — Auburn.

That's where Fields was at Thursday as he decides where he's going to take his 5-star skills.

That's an interesting visit, especially since Fields has already said he looked up to former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton growing up.

Auburn fans could envision the 6'3, 221 pound, class of 2018 recruit as their next Newton.
