Florida head coach Jim McElwain has been lighting things up on the recruiting trail all week. Shortly after he fully flipped the nation’s No. 1 JUCO kicker Eddy Pineiro from Alabama to Florida, he signed two early enrollees that will help on offense immediately. Four-star quarterback Feleipe Franks (6-foot-5, 220 pounds, Crawfordville, Fl.) and four-star running back Mark Thompson (6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Wyconte, Pa.) both signed letters of intent, and will be early enrollees for this upcoming January.
Getting Franks locked down was pretty huge, especially after the nation’s No. 1 quarterback prospect, Jacob Eason reaffirmed his commitment to play for Georgia. Franks is the nation’s No. 3 ranked pro style quarterback in the country. Having Thompson around in the spring will also help the running back depth greatly, especially if Kelvin Taylor decides to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.
