Florida quarterback Will Grier was suspended on Oct. 12 by the NCAA for using performance enhancing drugs. The suspension, which put him out for the rest of 2015, as well as the first six games of 2016, is being appealed to reduce the suspension to be just the 2015 season. It was filed to the NCAA earlier this month.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Grier has taken the next steps in the appeal, which included a conference call with the NCAA. The results of the conference call were not, however decided on Monday.
Grier addressed the media at the announcement of the suspension explaining that he took an over-the-counter supplement that had an NCAA banned substance in it, that he did not check with the training staff before taking.
