Gators get ninth commit in 2015 class with Miami LB Rayshad Jackson

Linebacker Rayshad Jackson, a three-star prospect from Miami, has given the Gators their first commit in 2015. Jackson's commitment was first reported by Derek Tyson of ESPN. The linebacker becomes the second commit in the Jim McElwain era. Tight end Daniel Imatorbhebhe was the first to commit and early enroll in school.

Jackson was a strong Arkansas lean before Florida hired away Randy Shannon from them. Now, Shannon got Jackson to play for the Gators. Hopefully this is the first of many recruits from the south Florida area, an area Shannon is supposed to lock down for the Gators.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker has good size at the LB position and does show good speed in his highlight reel. His commitment will hopefully give Florida some momentum as signing day approaches fast.
