There were plenty of important Bulldogs fans watching closely to the team’s 51-14 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, but all pale in comparison to the man that could soon be leading them, Jacob Eason. The No. 2 quarterback recruit in the nation has already committed to Georgia.

As eager as the 6-foot-6, 205-pound pro-style quarterback is to begin his Bulldogs career, he’s just as excited, if not more, for Georgia’s prospects for this season. He boldly made this prediction:

“I can predict that Nick Chubb is going going to win the Heisman” Eason told reporters earlier in the week. “That my prediction. I hope he does and I hope they have a great season.”

With Eason and running back Elijah Holyfield committed, the Bulldogs’ 2016 offensive recruiting class has amazing potential.

“I was excited we got another guy,” Eason said of Holyfield’s recent commitment. “Our class ranking went up. It’s awesome we are getting guys like that. We have got to work on getting a couple more and we’re building a great class.”
