The recruiting wins keep coming for the Georgia Bulldogs.
The program's 2022 college football recruiting class is already one of the best in the nation, and while some of the most significant additions have come on the defensive side of the ball, the Dawgs got a prolific running back to commit as well.
Jordan James lives in SEC country. The four-star rusher attends Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., but the Tennessee Volunteers or Vanderbilt Commodores couldn't do enough to keep him in-state.

In addition to the Bulldogs, Commodores, and Vols, James generated plenty of interest from other top programs. Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Purdue, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech all reached out.
As has been the story for months now, college football recruiting was and continues to be heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully for James, he seemed to know where he wanted to play for some time.
Head coach Kirby Smart has done a great job on the UGA recruiting trail over the past few seasons, but running backs coach Dell McGee was equally responsible for getting James to Athens. The NFL is littered with talented running backs from the Bulldogs' program—including first and second-round picks like Todd Gurley (Los Angeles), Sony Michel (New England), and Nick Chubb (Cleveland).
University of Georgia football has a chance to make a splash in the SEC in 2021. With players like linebacker Jalon Walker and five-star athlete Malaki Starks joining in 2022, the Bulldogs will be hard to stop as they compete with Division I heavyweights like Alabama and Ohio State.
4-Star RB Jordan James Highlights
According to 247Sports Composite, James is the No. 179 overall prospect in his class and third-best from Tennessee.
His strongest trait is his agility. He's quick, but he won't frequently jet past defenders. Instead, James relies on cuts and a high football IQ to generate his high numbers.

During his impressive junior season in 2020, James totaled 1,752 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns. He is the focal point of the Oakland offense, and that won't change as he heads into his senior year.
Jordan James is ready for the NCAA. Running backs are a volatile bunch, but Georgia has a long track record of developing rushers into NFL-caliber weapons, and James may be next in line when all is said and done.
