The Georgia linebacker cannot wait for Saturday. He’s salivating thinking about going against the weakest offensive line in the SEC.
Floyd was told on Tuesday that Tennessee is tied for the SEC lead with sacks allowed with nine.
“Oh yeah?” he said of the stat. “That’s good news for me.”
It’s really good news for the Bulldogs. Through three games, the defense has eight sacks. Floyd said the team does not like Tennessee at all, so they should watch out.
“Once you come to Georgia, you already hate Tennessee,” Floyd said.
Last season, the Dawgs narrowly beat the Vols. They needed to go to overtime to get a 34-31 win. But Floyd knows this defense is poised to shut down Tennessee quarterback Justin Worley and the entire offense.
Saturday’s game should get a little chippy. The Dawgs and Vols kickoff at noon.
