IMG Academy running back Lovasea Carroll is a stud. At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, he's already big and strong enough to do damage between the tackles and quick enough to cause problems in the open field. There's a reason why so many big-time college football programs were after him, but one team had his heart.
Although he played his high school football in Bradenton, Fla., the four-star recruit calls Warrenton, Georgia home. So in an effort to get back to the Peach State, Carroll decided to make his commitment known. He's returning home play for the Georgia Bulldogs.
All that was left for head coach Kirby Smart was to sign Carroll, and he did on National Signing Day.

Back in January 2020, Carroll named his top five, which also included the Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes and South Carolina Gamecocks. However, the Bulldogs of the SEC had Carroll's undivided attention.
Carroll — the No. 6 running back in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite — made it clear that Georgia was the NCAA team to beat in April.
"First off, I would like to Thank the man above for blessing me with this opportunity. Also I would like to Thank my mom and everybody else who stood behind me throughout this journey. To all the schools that recruited me, it was a blessing to see my hard work pay off. I still will be taking all 5 Official Visits for a final decision but as of right now I know where I want to continue my football career. And what better place to do it at, then your city. With that being said for the next 3 to 4 years I will be taking my academics and football career to The University of Georgia. #GoDawgs."
Carroll ultimately turned down other big-time offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida State, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee and West Virginia, among others.
The 2021 Georgia football recruiting class proved to be yet another monster with signees such as offensive tackle Amarius Mims and linebacker Xavier Sorey ready to suit up for the Dawgs in Athens.
RB Lovasea Carroll Highlights
Lovasea Carroll hasn't started his tenure as a Bulldog quite yet, but it's clear that he has some playmaker potential. He started his career at Warren County High School but transferred to IMG in Florida after his sophomore season.
The four-star prospect accumulated 34 career touchdowns in his three-year varsity career and has a great combination of speed and agility that allows him to slip by defenders. He didn't let this year's pandemic-affected season go to waste, and for his efforts, he was named to the Senior Bowl.
247Sports gives Carroll a Chris Carson comparison, something that Bulldogs fans should be ecstatic about. They are getting another offensive weapon in the backfield, and the team has the chance to look great over the next few seasons.
Lovasea Carroll may not be a household name yet, but he has the potential to reach the NFL and will have every opportunity to thrive for UGA next season and beyond.
