For 6-foot-4, 237-pound high school senior tight end Isaac Nauta, it isn’t a question of whether or not he’ll play college football next season, the only question is where. Up until his ultimate decision is announced at the Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9, Nauta will remain one of the hottest recruits on the recruiting circuit.
Nauta, who hails from Buford, Ga., and attends the IMG Academy, will start his visits at Georgia for the Alabama game on Oct. 3, followed by Ole Miss, Michigan, USC and finally TCU in late November.
“I’ve got a pretty good lineup,” the five-star tight end recruit told Bleacher Report when asked about his future recruiting trips. “My official visits are going to be big separators. It’s a five-horse race right now so these trips are really important for my decision.”
Many recruiting analysts have pegged the Bulldogs as the new favorite for Nauta after the tight end decommitted from Florida State over the summer.
“Those are hometown fans for me. You can never go wrong with that,” Nauta said. “Georgia is my home, and I love it there. An opportunity to play college football in the state is something I have to consider.”
