Report: Georgia has its next defensive coordinator

With the hire of Kirby Smart as head coach at Georgia, it was believed that he would be dipping into the Alabama pool of coaching talent to come to Athens. It was originally thought that Smart would get a hold of Bama’s linebackers coach, but had to dig a little more to get this guy instead:

Tucker is finishing his first year at Alabama after spending the last decade in the NFL. Smart is also grabbing an assistant from the ACC who’s likely to be without a job anyway after the retirement of his father at Virginia Tech.

Smart is doing pretty on the hiring front considering he’s got to do a ton of multitasking for both Bama and Georgia.
