Leonard Fournette has gotten plenty of attention this season and will get even more this week because according to Nola.com’s Jerit Roser, the nation’s leading rusher will adorn the cover of this week’s ESPN The Magazine.
ESPN did a feature on the Heisman hopeful, during the week leading up to No. 4 LSU’s SEC showdown with now No. 11 Florida, Roser writes:
Senior writer Wright Thompson visited LSU, and particularly its star sophomore running back, during the week leading up to the team’s top-10 matchup against Florida — a week in which Fournette earned the Sports Illustrated cover.
And fans soon will be able to read “The Legend of Leonard Fournette,” Thompson’s feature on the New Orleans native and Heisman trophy favorite.
Fournette was also featured on Sports Illustrated’s cover earlier this month. The 6-foot-1, 230-pound running back has rushed for 1,352 yards and scored 15 touchdowns this season and is the odds on favorite to take home the Heisman Trophy.
