There's nothing quite like a Saturday night in Death Valley. Other college football programs can try to boast the best atmosphere in the country, but there is something different about LSU Tigers fans packing Tiger Stadium at night. The primetime game is always special, and it's a place, as head coach Ed Orgeron puts it, where opponent's dreams come to die.
When kickoff comes, there's no better place to be than Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It's that electric, and it's been this way for years and years.
For anyone who truly understands it, this trending hype video is everything.
LSU's "Saturday Night in Death Valley" Hype Video
Saturday Night in Death Valley
The most electric atmosphere...
— LSU Football (@LSUfootball) October 22, 2020
There have been so many classic moments over the years. From Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow last year to other NFL Draft picks of the past, it's hard to pick a favorite. No matter the NCAA opponent, there's no doubt the stadium will always electric.
On October 24, the first SEC night game of the 2020 season is LSU vs. South Carolina on ESPN.
Normally, this football game would be one for the ages. After all, it is the first primetime matchup since LSU beat Clemson in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in New Orleans. The coronavirus pandemic and COVID-19 outbreak had other plans, though.
This hasn't been quite the start to the year LSU fans had hoped for, either. The Tigers already have losses to Mississippi State and Missouri with games with Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, and Florida still left on the schedule. Starting quarterback Myles Brennan got hurt, too.
Although it hasn't been ideal, by any means, you better believe Coach O will have his football team ready for the Gamecocks and will give his classic "Geaux Tigers" on gameday.
This LSU hype video is a reminder of the good times and a time to look forward to many more.
