Les Miles’ future was uncertain before LSU’s 19-7 win over Texas A&M Saturday. But even after the game was over and his future was still in doubt, the atmosphere was electric and Miles was celebrated, as fans chanted “We want Les” and his players carried him off the field.
Miles was told after the game that he would remain the Tigers’ (8-3, 5-3 SEC) head coach and while the reception he received before kickoff, as well as after, likely had little to do with LSU retaining him, it had to make the Mad Hatter feel pretty good.
Being carried off the field was special but according to Miles, it was “scary” as well.
Miles will try to put the past few weeks behind him but this is a game he’ll likely never forget.
