LSU to play Notre Dame in Music City Bowl

After closing out the regular season with a victory over Texas A&M, the No. 23 LSU Tigers (8-4) will travel to Nashville, TN. on Tuesday, December 30, at 3 p.m. ET to face off against Notre Dame (7-5).

“We are very excited to bring our football program and the great LSU fan base to Nashville to play Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl,” LSU coach Les Miles said via a team-issued press release. “Notre Dame is a traditional football power and we are looking forward to renewing what has been a tremendous rivalry between the two programs through the years.

Nashville is a great city to play and the opportunity to play in an NFL venue makes this a very attractive bowl destination for us.”

This will be the first time since 2007 that LSU plays Notre Dame, which resulted in a 41-14 Tigers victory in the Sugar Bowl.
