Odell Beckham Jr. attended Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He may be known as a wide receiver today, but he played just about everywhere for the Greenies, lining up as a quarterback, running back, cornerback, and kickoff/punt return specialist as well.
That versatility proved lethal for high school football, as Beckham helped Newman reach the playoffs on multiple occasions.
These highlights are just a glimpse into how Beckham performed in high school. His statistics paint an even rosier picture.
In his senior year, OBJ totaled 19 receiving touchdowns and an additional three rushing scores on offense. On the defensive side, he added four interceptions to his ledger.
He was named the MVP of his Louisiana conference and MaxPreps hailed him as the best wide receiver in his class. After his incredible 2010 season, Beckham got the chance to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Teams like Alabama, Mississippi State, Miami, Nebraska, and Tulane all reached out, but he decided to move to Baton Rouge to play his college football with the LSU Tigers.

OBJ was brought along slowly at LSU, but he broke out during his junior year. Together with Jarvis Landry, the two wideouts terrorized SEC offenses.
Beckham Jr. finished his Tigers career with 2,340 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He was also the recipient of the Paul Hornung Award, given to "the most versatile player in the nation."
He had nothing left to prove in college. It was time to enter the professional ranks.

The New York Giants selected Odell Beckham Jr. in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
OBJ made a mark early with his circus catches and connection with Eli Manning. His love/hate relationship with his team's kicking net was comical to follow as well.
Despite three consecutive Pro Bowl selections to start his career in New York, he was jettisoned to Cleveland in a 2019 offseason trade.

Playing with Baker Mayfield gave Beckham another 1,000-yard season in 2019, but an ACL tear in 2020 ended his second year there prematurely. After a lengthy rehab process, the hope is that he'll be ready to go by the start of the 2021 season.
