Shaq weighs in on Heisman race and you know who this former Tiger’s got

Fifteen-time NBA All-Star and former LSU Tiger Shaquille O’Neal has spoken; LSU running back Leonard Fournette will win the 2015 Heisman Trophy.

“The Big Aristotle” took to Twitter during No. 8 LSU’s 34-24 win over Syracuse Saturday, tweeting “Lsu #7 MR FOURNETTE 2015 HEISMANN WINNER you heard it here first .”

Anyone who has watched the 6-foot-1, 230-pound halfback this season will find O’Neal’s statement hard to argue against, especially after a third straight stellar performance this weekend. Fournette ran for 244 yards and two touchdowns against the Orange (3-1, 1-0 ACC) and beefed up his Heisman resume in the process.

The true sophomore now has 631 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 73 attempts in only three games and is on pace to eclipse both the 2,000-yard and 20-plus TD mark before the season is over. Shaq may the first one to say it but he certainly won’t be the last.
