SEC Power Rankings Week 4: Does anyone want to win the SEC East?

Week 4 featured a few upsets in the SEC as well as some underwhelming performances that have made pretty big changes to our power rankings.

In the suddenly miserable East division, Missouri — after some claimed the Tigers could win the SEC East again — lost at home to Indiana in an embarrassing loss. South Carolina went on the road and got all they could handle from Vanderbilt, which prompted Steve Spurrier to say his Gamecocks aren’t a good football team.

The West had the biggest surprise on Saturday when LSU lost to Mississippi State at night in Tiger Stadium. Auburn’s Thursday night showing on the road at Kansas State was not particularly impressive, but they did get a win. The only teams that truly impressed against quality — and I use that term lightly when describing Florida — opponents were Mississippi State and Alabama.
