The South Carolina Gamecocks are coming off a huge win against Georgia, and now they head to Nashville on their first road game of the season to face Vanderbilt. The Commodores just got theit first win over UMass after the Minutemen kicker failed to hit a field goal to tie the game.
Clearly, these teams have different kinds of expectations. For the Gamecocks, that is to win the game handily. No one expects Vanderbilt to win, and they will be lucky to score at all.
South Carolina’s defense will be too good, the offense too explosive.
Dylan Thompson will have a solid game and may get out early to give his backup some time to play. Mike Davis should have a good day and get himself over the 100 yard mark rushing while Brandon Wilds may do the same. This would be a perfect opportunity to get Shon Carson some carries and get him some confidence going into the harder part of the schedule.
