ESPNU analysts blame coaching for this team's terrible losing skid

They make good points.

The Tennessee Volunteers have not been a fun team to watch the past few weeks with a close loss to Texas A&M and then a blowout loss to Alabama followed by this week's complete implosion against a lowly South Carolina team. That 24-21 loss puts the Vols at 5-3 on the season and 2-3 in the conference.

The first two of those losses were understandable as both teams were in the top 10 when the Vols played them, but to lose to South Carolina after a bye week was inexcusable to Kevin Carter, Paul Finebaum and Jason Sehorn:

The Vols are now pretty much out of the SEC East race and would need some sort of crazy miracle to get back in it. Even Kentucky has a shot better than they do right now! While Jones is likely to keep his job this season thanks to a ridiculous amount of injuries taking the blame for those losses, he will need to improve greatly next season if he wants to stay head coach at Tennessee.
