Tennessee talking to TSU as potential season opener

Tennessee is looking for a new 2015 season opening opponent with the game just nine months away. The Volunteers were left scrambling for an opponent when UAB discontinued its football program. Fortunately, it seems that some in-state friends want to help out. Tennessee State and Tennessee are in talks about potentially playing the game at LP Field, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. It also serves as TSU’s home field, but you can bet there would be a large contingent of UT fans should these plans come to fruition.
