Former Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight was at one time atop the college football world. The then-Oklahoma Sooners quarterback upset the back-to-back national champion Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2014 Sugar Bowl, earning game MVP honors after throwing four touchdowns.
When the 6-foot-1 dual-threat passer was pushed out of the Big 12 school in favor of Baker Mayfield, he headed to play for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2016 as a graduate transfer. Knight won his debut against a ranked UCLA team in College Station and ripped off wins against Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina and Tennessee before a loss at Alabama spiraled the Aggies to an 8-5 record that football season.
Knight only spent one season at Kyle Field and a few with Oklahoma, but he definitely made a lasting impression on some. Pop artist Katy Perry, for example, once went on College GameDay and hit on him by asking him to call her.
Unfortunately, Knight "kissed a girl" that wasn't Perry. He went on to marry a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. What else is he doing?

Knight took over in College Station after Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray departed head coach Kevin Sumlin's program. He threw for nearly 2,500 yards and a 19-7 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He flashed athleticism and some promise as an NFL prospect prior to the 2017 NFL Draft, running a faster 40-yard dash than running backs like Alvin Kamara.
After going undrafted, the Arizona Cardinals signed him to a three-year deal to compete for the third-string quarterback spot. They waived him shortly after in 2017. He spent time on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad before undergoing back surgery.
The newly formed American Alliance of Football became his new home in 2018. The Arizona Hotshots selected him with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 AAF QB Draft. He spent time as the team's backup during the 2019 season before the AAF collapsed.
What's next for Knight? Considering COVID-19 and the coronavirus pandemic took everyone's joy in 2020, maybe he'll get a shot somewhere else in 2021 now that he's a free agent.

Knight even reportedly dated Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson while in college, according to My San Antonio.
That's funny because her grandfather is Phil Robertson. Hardcore fans of the show might know that Phil was a college quarterback himself, and he even started over Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw.
The 26-year-old football player moved on to date Lacey Munoz, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Though it's unknown how long the two have been roaming Texas as a power couple, the NCAA heartthrob first posted a picture with her on his Instagram in February 2019.
Lacey Munoz took her husband's last name and became Lacey Knight in June 2020. In 2019, she officially quit her job cheering for America's Team. Maybe that means the newlyweds can kick back and enjoy their first year of marriage.
So, who is Lacey Knight? She's the daughter of former MLB pitcher Mike Munoz, who spent 12 years in the Major Leagues as a left-handed reliever in the 1990s.
According to an interview with Southlake Style, she attended Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas. After graduating, she tried out for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in 2014 and wound up earning a spot.
While life as a cheerleader — even on the coveted DCC — has been documented as anything but glamorous, Lacey seems to have cherished her time in uniform.
"My time as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader has taught me more than I can ever say or probably even recall," Lacey told Southlake Style. "Not only has this job helped me to grow as a performer, but also as a speaker, employee, teacher and just a well-rounded person. It has taught me the value of being an ambassador of an organization with great morale and legacy."
Trevor Knight may never play another snap of football again, but it looks like he might be just fine with that.
