will reichard top four schools @WillReichard/Twitter

Will Reichard is the nation’s top kicker in the class of 2019 according to Kohl’s kicker ratings. While he doesn’t need to make a commitment any time soon, he does have a date in mind as he told 247Sports. He has offers from Alabama, Oklahoma and LSU with a visit to Georgia on the books.

“I’ve kind of told all the other schools that I just want to focus in on those three and Georgia,” Reichard said. “Georgia hasn’t offered me, but I’m going down to Georgia next weekend. I pretty much told the other schools I’ll be committing in the next few weeks and I’m zoning in on those four.”

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound kicker out of Alabama was given a scholarship offer when he was on an academic visit last month, which is pretty rare for Alabama to do. They usually wait until the summer to give specialists an offer, but Nick Saban clearly wants to shore up his kicking game and make sure the Crimson Tide are set there for the next few years.

“I was pretty overwhelmed,” Reichard told BamaOnLine. “Growing up in Alabama, it was pretty special. I guess I could say I wasn’t expecting it, but I went down there thinking that it could be a possibility. I was just really excited. It’s a great opportunity.”

Now, Alabama just has to close the deal and finish off the recruiting job by getting him to sign on the dotted line.

Here are some of his highlights:
