USA Today writers are calling their shot with College Football Playoff upset of Alabama

Some college football experts are forecasting an upset in the sport's biggest game.

The college football experts over at USA Today have made their bowl game picks, and some are going against the grain in forecasting a massive upset in the Playoff.

While all seven staff writers are picking the top-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide to beat fourth-seeded Washington in the semifinals, three of them (writers Nicole Auerbach, Paul Myerberg, and George Schroeder) have No. 2 Clemson exacting revenge on Bama for last season's 45-40 loss in the title game.

It would be Clemson's second national championship since winning the title in 1981. You can see USA Today's staff picks for the entire bowl game schedule here.
