Conor McGregor's nightmare has come true

The champ better get ready.

Conor McGregor won the lightweight championship back in early November, but before he even had the belt, undefeated contender Khabib Nurmagomedov was already calling him out.

It appears that highly-anticipated tilt is close to happening, as reports detail while McGregor is on his UFC maternal leave absence, Nurmagomedov is getting an interim title shot, setting up a possible unification match in the future:

Paired with an iron jaw and flawless execution in the Octagon, Nurmagomedov would be a nightmare matchup for McGregor.

Nurmagomedov is 24-0 with his last win a submission victory over Michael Johnson.

He then proceeded to call out "chicken" McGregor:

If the reports are true, Tony Ferguson (22-3) would be the only force standing in the way of a Khabib-McGregor super showdown following the reported March 4, UFC 209 bout.
