Former WWE wrestler Ryback rips one of wrestling's top stars for being a "poison"

Ryback left the company in 2016.

It looks like the former Ryback is willing to air out some of his issues with WWE now that he is no longer part of the company.

On an episode of his own podcast, Ryback — real name Ryan Reeves — called out the biggest star in the business: John Cena. Ryback apparently has problems with how Cena has created a vice grip over the top spot in the business to the harm of those lower on the totem pole.

"No, you push who the crowd is behind. [John] has been poison to the wrestling industry. And again, this is my opinion, but I think I'm pretty accurate on this... I think he's done so much harm for so long to new talent to getting over, breaking out, over there [in WWE]."

Ryback then went on to use former WWE wrestler Alex Riley as an example, citing that Cena's influence directly derailed Riley's career. Riley has detailed that an incident with Cena definitely hurt his chances in WWE, but he did not specify what happened.

Ryback, a former Intercontinental champion, left WWE after apparent problems with the creative direction of his character.
