Former five-star guard and Kentucky signee reportedly 'going to the wire' on NBA Draft decision

This could make the Wildcats sweat a bit.

The story of former Kentucky signee Hamnidou Diallo has been an interesting one as he was originally supposed to be a member of the 2017 fall class, but enrolled earlier in January. He was available to play for Kentucky during the spring semester, but never played a minute. Despite that, he declared for the NBA Draft since he was a year removed from high school because of a post graduate program he was in.

He's been going through workouts with NBA teams and could end up getting drafted if wants to stay in the Draft, but he has to make that decision by Wednesday. It seems that he has not gotten any sort of first round guarantee or his decision likely would have been made. And now he's apparently going to decide at the last minute:

Diallo is projected as an early second-round pick right now by a few outlets, but all it takes is one team to be intrigued by his supreme athleticism and abilities to go in the first round. Diallo had the highest max vertical at the NBA Combine and tested very well, which has some people talking about him going in that coveted first round.
