Not even two months after arriving on campus, Kansas is losing major grad transfer

This a huge blow.

Kansas was all set to make another run at the Big 12 Championship with William & Mary graduate transfer Jack Whitman in tow. However, he has already decided to head elsewhere before even playing a game with the Jayhawks.

Whitman was expected to give coach Bill Self and his staff some major minutes as the frontcourt depth was a little thin even before he left. Self only has three frontcourt players eligible to even play right now in freshman Billy Preston, sophomore Mitch Lightfoot and sophomore Udoka Azubuike. The Lawson brothers from Memphis won't be eligible until next season while Sam Cunliffe will become eligible some time in December as he was a mid-year transfer.
