An SEC head coach is dealing with an arrest before he's even coached a game

That's less than ideal.

Mississippi State freshman wide receiver Austin Williams was reportedly arrested early Sunday morning for public drunkenness.

The arrest comes less than three weeks after the school named former Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead to be its next head coach. The team has yet to comment on the reported arrest and a possible punishment for the arrest may not come out until all of the details of the incident are gathered.

Williams, a true freshman, did not appear in a game for Mississippi State this season and redshirted. He was ranked as a three-star recruit in the 2017 class according to 247Sports.

The Bulldogs will play Louisville in the TaxSlayer Bowl on Dec. 30.
