Former Florida coach finds new team with latest reported hire

An interesting spot for him.

Former Florida assistant coach Tim Skipper is expected to be named the new defensive coordinator at UNLV.

USA Today's Dan Wolken tweeted that Skipper is heading to Las Vegas. He was the linebackers coach for the Gators in 2017 and the running backs coach in 2015 and 2016.

Skipper was previously the linebackers coach at Colorado State under Jim McElwain.

Dan Mullen is bringing in his own staff, including defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Sal Sunseri is the defensive line coach, and Christian Robinson will coach inside linebackers. Charlton Warren will coach defensive backs.

The only coach from the previous regime is Ja'Juan Seider, who is moving from coaching running backs to tight ends.
