One powerhouse gets serious depth thanks to commitment from nation's top kicker

The top kicker in the country committed to this powerhouse Saturday.

The Georgia Bulldogs' special teams unit received a big boost prior to Saturday's G-Day game.

Jake Camarda, the No. 1 kicker in the Class of 2018, committed to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Current Georgia kicker Rodrigo Blakenship is only a redshirt sophomore, and he connected on 14 of 18 field goals as a redshirt freshman. He also made all of his extra point attempts.

Blakenship didn't perform well in the G-Day game as he missed an extra point and two field goal attempts. His job is likely secure entering 2017, but he will have competition in 2018 with the arrival of Camarda.
