Young was arrested in early 2016 in Los Angeles for beating up a neighbor in a street fight. Young was in a court-ordered mental health facility, but he left without permission and assaulted the neighbor on Jan. 30.

Young has had a history of off-the-field issues throughout his career. He was arrested three times in one week in 2013 for a DUI and burglary, and he was also arrested in 2014 for attacking several people in a two month span.

During his playing career in college at Boise State, Young was suspended several times by then coach Chris Petersen.

The Detroit Lions drafted Young in the second round of the 2011 draft, and he caught 81 passes for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns in two seasons with the franchise. He hasn't played since due to off-the-field issues.
