Ford Bronco Drives Onto Course And Hits Delaware Golfer With Speeding Vehicle

On Thursday afternoon, out of nowhere a Ford Bronco SUV drove on the Deerfield Golf Club course in Newark, Delaware. The driver had no regard for human life as it sped across the greens, even running into at least one golf cart, which caused one of the passengers to fall over after the impact made by the speeding vehicle.

A golfer got a lot of the occurrence on video, which showed the crazy driver fleeing the scene at the end.

Ultimately, the Delaware Natural Resources Police stated that they were able to identify the suspect, who could be seen fleeing the scene in the grey Bronco at the end.

The man was taken into custody, and faces charges that include DUI and reckless endangerment (risk of death to another). Being that he is currently in the hospital, the suspect is set to be arraigned in court following his release.

Luckily, none of the golfers on the course suffered any major injuries. One Reddit user, who claimed to be present at the scene, called it a "near death experience."

"So I am in this video. I am the guy that runs out of the way right before the driver plows into the golf cart my buddy was in. We had just finished up the 16th hole and somebody was doing doughnuts all over the driving range. I pulled out my phone to try and get a picture of his license plate to turn into the clubhouse."

That is when the Reddit golfer said things took a turn for the worse, as the Bronco driver noticed him.

"The driver saw I was recording him and turned to try and run me over," he said. "At this point all we know was the driver has been apprehended by the police and we have given our statements. We don't know motive or anything else. It went from 'I'm taking pictures of some idiot' to 'oh he's trying to murder me' in about 0.5 seconds. AMA (ask me anything)."

One other user responded, "what was your score?"

In which he said, "Lol, like 100 through 16 holes... I'm a terrible golfer. We didn't finish the last two after we almost died... It kind of killed the vibe."

As a different person commented to that, "If you were shooting low 90s you'd prob already be on the next green. If you had been practicing all spring you wouldn't be in this situation at all."
