Ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship, when Scottie Scheffler was arriving to the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky on May 17 at 6am, he had a run-in with a police officer, who has been identified as Bryan Gillis.
Gillis claimed that when Scheffler failed to follow traffic instructions, he dragged him to the ground with his car and caused injuries. That is to say, we now have access to video footage of the arrest.
Upon viewing the arresting incident, one can see Scheffler driving slowly moving forward, the officer then proceeds to reach in the vehicle, forcing him out and putting handcuffs on the world's No. 1 ranked golfer. As can be seen in the top left of the video below.
Here is video of Scottie Scheffler turning into an entrance at Valhalla, that plenty of others were using.

Gillis reportedly did not have his body cam on, and has been rebuked for his actions by both the Louisville Metro Police Department police chief, Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel, and city mayor, Craig Greenberg.
Not only that, news has come out recently about the arresting officer's history throughout his 17-year tenure with the LMPD. In 2013, it was reported, that Gillis had been suspended, and you will never guess why... for donuts. Not those kind of donuts, but actually performing "donuts" in the car with an "intoxicated civilian" in a business parking lot, while on duty.
In addition, Gillis has been involved in four accidents, in which he was at fault, while operating LMPD vehicles. Furthermore, he was previously suspended three times for missing court dates.
Even with the questionable courses of action undertaken by Gillis, Scheffler still has to appear for a court date on June 3 for charges of felony assault on a police officer and reckless driving. The golfer's lawyer, Steven Romines, says they will continue to claim his innocence.
Romines told reporters, "Scottie Scheffler didn't do anything wrong, we're not interested in settling the case."
