Meet Heid Manning: The 225-Pound Nephew of Peyton & Eli No One is Talking About

It seems the Manning family has been producing premier football talent since the beginning of time.

It started with Archie Manning then carried on to Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, who won two Super Bowls apiece. You can't forget Cooper Manning either, who played wide receiver and caught touchdown passes from Peyton during his senior year at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Cooper's playing career ended early due to spinal stenosis, but the Manning genes stayed strong. The oldest Mannings' son, QB Arch Manning, was drawing national attention before he even took a high school football snap. Now, Arch is taking snaps from his younger brother Heid Manning.

He's the Manning family member no one is talking about.

Heid Manning is the youngest child of Cooper and Ellen Manning, who also have son Arch and a daughter named May Manning. Unlike the other Mannings, Heid is an offensive lineman. A sophomore at Isidore Newman, Heid is a guard and center for the Greenies. Sure, snapping the ball isn't all that glorious, but this is a Manning we're talking about.

Heid is content with letting his starting quarterback brother handle all the attention while he gets down and dirty in the trenches. Arch, a five-star recruit and the top quarterback in the class of 2023, already holds a plethora of offers from some of the nation's top college football programs. Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Texas, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Ole Miss all want the latest Manning gunslinger on campus.

Arch visited the Clemson Tigers this past June and made enough of an impression that head coach Dabo Swinney extended an offer on the spot. (Look out ACC, there might be another Trevor Lawrence to deal with.)

While the nephew of Peyton is going on his third year quarterbacking Isidore Newman's varsity football team, Heid should see his first action this year. The football player played center in a preseason scrimmage and got the opportunity to snap the ball to his older brother.

Heid looked tough on the offensive line and protected Arch while he threw dimes downfield. The Manning connection circulated social media as all football plays involving Mannings do.

Heid Manning Recruiting

Recruiting website 247Sports has produced rankings for the class of 2024, but Heid isn't on it.

He is sure to be up there with the top players in the country at some point, although he may need some more bulking up. He stands 6-feet tall and weighs 225 pounds, according to MaxPreps. While that's big for any normal sophomore, it's small compared to starting lineman at the NCAA level. Heid is young so he'll have plenty of time to get bigger.

Arch is going to get all the attention from ESPN like his grandfather did playing in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints and his uncles for the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos and New York Giants. Meanwhile, Heid will be up front making sure his brother has a clean pocket to make the perfect throw.
