There are different ways to celebrate an overtime victory to open the season. Apparently one Tennessee player planned on doing so by skipping class.
Following the Vols' 42-41 win in double overtime, defensive lineman Darrell Taylor was captured telling a teammate "I'm not going to class" just before the broadcast went off air.
In fairness, the game ended around midnight and it's a long trip back to Knoxville from Atlanta. Plus, Taylor did earn himself a break after stuffing a 2-point conversion that would have won the game for the Yellow Jackets:
Maybe some of the professors at UT will go easy on their students after the team earned its first win of the season. After all, the difference between a 1-0 and a 0-1 start is huge.
