Hakeem Olajuwon has outrageous comparison of Michael Jordan to LeBron James

LeBron James is in the midst of a revival season for basketball in Cleveland, attempting to hurry up a rebuild process that began when he left.

He started his career with the Cavs, left to win a few rings in Miami, and now he's back.

So after NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon was asked if James is "up there with the greatest players of all-time," his answer was pretty shocking.

From CNBC:

"Yes. When people start comparing him with Jordan then that's not a fair comparison. Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league, he was very creative," said Olajuwon.

"That's not taking away anything from LeBron because he is a great player but it is not a fair comparison because Jordan is a far superior player."

James won two NBA titles and has won the MVP award four times. Jordan's claim to fame in Chicago is six NBA championships and five MVP awards.

Far superior seems a bit excessive. Jordan is probably the best ever, but if we're going by tiers, I'd say Jordan is on the top followed by a second tier with James, Kobe Bryant and Bill Russell.

What say you?
