Joe Mixon makes stunning decision following assault video fallout

Interesting.

Despite the rather graphic video of Joe Mixon punching a woman at a bar surfacing last week, Mixon has decided that he is going to return to Oklahoma for his senior season. A report from rufwriters.com is saying that Mixon will forego the NFL Draft despite his being one of the better running backs in the class.

However, it seems he is going to take another year in college to hopefully distance himself from this mess and try to prove that he won't be a distraction or problem off the field. Everyone knows he can put up the numbers and is a good running back so really he has to hope no one too much better shows up out of nowhere this coming season.

It is also important to note that Mixon still has a pending civil suit against him. Most would assume it is in his best interest to get the case over with before entering the draft, thus another reason he may be waiting another year to enter it. Mixon will be among the top running back prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft along with Saquon Barkley, Royce Freeman, and Nick Chubb.
