NFL Hall of Famer and all-time great New York Giants defensive lineman Lawrence Taylor recently made a joke at the expense of one Joe Theismann. The legendary Washington Redskins quarterback who had his career ended by Taylor in 1985. Taylor sacked Theismann and broke two bones in the QB's leg, which led to his immediate retirement.

"That man was on his way out of football a long time before that," Taylor said. "Listen, that was going to be his last year. He wasn't playing very well. I did him a favor."
Granted, this was said in a pretty joking manner, but Theismann couldn't let him get the last laugh and came back with a nice barb of his own. "It's just a shame that that's the only thing he's famous for, is breaking my leg," Theismann told USA Today.
Of course, Taylor retired with 142 sacks —- 132.5 if you don't count his rookie season of 1981, which was the year before sacks were recorded —- and led the league in that category in 1986 with 20.5 that season. He was also inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1999, something Theismann certainly can't claim.
