The list of great running backs in Georgia Bulldogs history is truly incredible. It's nearly impossible to find another college football program with as many superstar ball carriers. For all of the legends to play in Athens over the years, perhaps one player who gets overlooked some is Knowshon Moreno.
Moreno only played at UGA for two seasons, but, man, he was electric. He racked up 2,734 rushing yards with 32 total touchdowns and made torching SEC defenses look easy. The two-time First-Team All-SEC performer also picked on inferior competition, too.
Nothing proved that more than the September 2008 game against Central Michigan at Sanford Stadium. Not only did he rush for 168 yards with a career-high three touchdowns, he also produced an iconic highlight by hurdling a defender at the end of a long run.

The box score shows the play as a 29-yard rush for a first down, but what Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno did on the play made everyone's jaws drop.
Moreno took the handoff from quarterback Matthew Stafford, raced out to the right, cut back to the middle of the field, and then hurdled over CMU's Vince Agnew like it was nothing. Nobody could really believe what they saw at first, but the replay showed it perfectly.
He actually hurdled over a guy trying to make a tackle.
A few plays later, Moreno scored a 21-yard touchdown to extend the lead and UGA cruised to a 56-17 victory.
Moreno, a Middletown, New Jersey native, left after his redshirt sophomore season and was a first round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played for five seasons with the Denver Broncos and one with the Miami Dolphins.
Ironically enough, he also hurdled Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed during a game.
However, none will ever compare to his NCAA college hurdle that Georgia football fans still talk about to this day.
