Former Super Bowl MVP reportedly "open" to helping Herm Edwards at Arizona State

Edwards entered with a plan to keep both coordinators in place but, after just a few days, he was forced to hire new minds on his staff and the much needed stability in the wake of Todd Graham's ousting evaporated.

Herm Edwards has a big challenge ahead at Arizona State and, from the outside looking in, it appears as if the former NFL head coach could use all the help he can get in his new position as the leader of the Sun Devils. To that end, Edwards certainly has some NFL contacts he can drew from and, on Monday, a potentially valuable resource came to the forefront with an offer to assist.

Kurt Warner, who lives nearby, spoke to Shane Dale of ABC15 and indicated that, while he is "not back here begging for a job." there are other ways in which he could help the Arizona State program.

"I'm always willing to help anybody if I can. Knowing Herm, obviously this is a big jump for him, but I know he's up for the task."

"I just always keep myself open. If there's anything that I can add or any expertise that I can give, whether it's a player, an organization, a university, Coach Herm — any of those people."

Edwards entered with a plan to keep both coordinators in place but, after just a few days, he was forced to hire new minds on his staff and the much needed stability in the wake of Todd Graham's ousting evaporated. Obviously, there is a limit on what Warner could do in an unofficial capacity but, for Edwards to have any chance at success, he'll need to maximize his abilities and having friends in high football places is a valuable one.
