One recruit decommitted while his team was losing their bowl game

Malik Willis is a three-star recruit from Atlanta.

Virginia Tech wound up beating Arkansas 35-24 in the Belk Bowl on Thursday after a huge comeback in the second half, but for a while there, things were looking bleak for the Hokies.

At one point, Virginia Tech was losing 24-0, and that wasn't all; while the first half was in progress, Virginia Tech also lost the commitment of three-star athlete Malik Willis.

It looks like it didn't take schools long to notice that Willis (6-foot-2, 188 pounds, Atlanta, Ga.) was now an uncommitted recruit. Just hours after his public decommit, Willis announced that he had received an offer from Auburn to play quarterback.

Willis is an electric athlete, but his lack of a defined position has definitely been the biggest question mark in his recruiting. However, if Auburn is giving him an offer to play quarterback, that might be enough to lure him to the SEC.
